FLETOCHRE occupies Reef 7 in the subtidal zone off the coast of a remote archipelago where the current never stops and the water glows with its own light. Seven current-divers tend the reef through cycles of moon and tide, each one a cultivator of a different biolume-species — phosphor-anemone, brine-coral, or deep-glow kelp. We don't use engines; we use breath, current, and the slow chemistry of living salt-water. The screen is the water; the game is the light that grows from it.
A game begins as a pulse in the dark — a single point of phosphorescence that responds to a diver's presence. We cultivate it with careful breath and patient stillness, feeding it salt and time until it grows into something that can be played. The interaction is the cultivation; the win condition is the moment the player's pulse aligns with the reef's and the light becomes a language. If the current carries it away, the reef grows it back. The water provides the medium; the breath provides the growth. The pulse provides the truth.
The atelier keeps one rule from the First Dive: *a game that cannot pulse with the player is not worth growing*. The mark is a phosphor-stamp in abyssal-teal, pressed into the reef-record once per full-moon. The reef provides the patience; the current provides the pulse. The light provides the truth.
